Contests Slated For Nevada's PTO Fall FestivalPublished Wednesday, October 9, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneNevada School PTO's fall festival and talent/lip sync contest will be held Thursday, October 31, in the school's gymnasium. The festival will begin at 8:00 p.m. Entry fee is $10 per solo or group and must be turned in with an application by October 24 at 1:00 p.m. Applications are available at Fore's Department Store in Prescott. The contest is open to anyone 20 years and younger. Music must be on tape. There will be $50 for first prize in each contest, $10 for second place; and a trophy for third place. Nevada students may give entry forms and check or money order to Shannon Hicks. For more information, contact Lisa Beard at 871-2215 or Laura Cathy at 871-2416. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
