Lighting Planned For 2nd YearPublished Wednesday, October 16, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe holiday season is right around the corner. Because of this, preparations are being made to light the Nevada County Courthouse on Nov. 29, for the second year. Last year, the courthouse was decorated with thousands of Christmas lights and lighted lawn displays with the contributions made by local civic clubs, businesses and individuals. Additional money was raised through a variety of fundraisers. One item which brought in a considerable amount of revenue was the memory board, now hanging in the courthouse lobby. There is still space on this memory board to place the name of a loved one, or in memory of someone special. Each year, the "Henry's Lights" committee will try and add something new and different to the project as long as funds permit. Anyone wanting to make a donation to "Henry's Lights" or add a name to the memory board can do so by mailing their information or donation to: Henry's Lights, P.O. Box 621, Prescott, AR 71857, or dropping it by the Nevada County Clerk's Office. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
