Memorial 5k SetPublished Wednesday, October 16, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesThe first annual Eric Griffin Memorial Run will be held in conjunction with the Gurdon Forest Festival on October 26. The run will be held in downtown Gurdon with the following age groups and times: 12-14 years of age will run at 8:00 a.m.; 9-11 years of age will run at 8:45; 6-8 years of age will run at 9:15 a.m.; and 3-5 years of age will run at 9:30 a.m. The length of the race will vary according to the age group. Each entry will receive a t-shirt, and trophies or medallions will be awarded to each contestant. The race is open to both boys and girls. There is a $5 entry fee. Entry forms are available at the Gurdon Public Schools, First State Bank in Gurdon, Horizon Bank in Gurdon and Plyler's Hardware in Gurdon.
