Tutorial Program BeginsPublished Wednesday, October 16, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesClark County Youth Development Center recreation and tutorial programs are now being held at the Youth Center Building (old Middle School Campus) in Gurdon. The tutorial program is held for one hour on Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. The recreation program is held Monday-Friday as an after school day care program. The program ends at 6:15 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays and 5:15 on Wednesdays and Fridays. The program is a participating member of the Family Success Project. The first phase of the program began in Gurdon on July 5 and ended on August 16. The second phase of the program began on September 16 and will continue to November 13. The third phase of the program begins on June 2 next year and will end on June 30. Children ages 6-12 meeting the required guidelines are eligible to participate in the program. All parents who would like for your child to participate in the program must fill out an application form at the center and meet the eligibility required guidelines based on income, before their child can participate in the program.
