Shepherd To PerformPublished Wednesday, October 16, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesElizabeth Shepherd, a senior at Gurdon High School, will be one of the featured entertainers at the 16th annual Gurdon Forest Festival the last Saturday in October on Main Street in Gurdon. Shepherd has been singing for the past four years and has been a featured singer at festivals, church functions and civic programs. Recently she participated in Ashdown Jamboree. This past summer the country and western singer was a contestant in the True Value-Jimmy Dean Country Showdown. Elizabeth said she is looking forward to performing at the festival and invites all her friends to the bandstand show.
