Josephine Gaither WelchPublished Wednesday, October 23, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesJosephine Gaither Welch, 82, of Arkadelphia died Wednesday, October 16, 1996, at her home. She was born March 25, 1914, in Arkadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Eli Porter and Jessie Woods Gaither. She was a retired employee of Levi Strause, a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church and the widow of Jasper Welch. Survivors include a son and his wife, Laron and Kay Welch of Arkadelphia, and a grandson, Laron Welch Jr. Graveside services were Friday, October 18, at Shiloh Cemetery with Rev. Danny Golden officiating. Interment was under the direction of Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
