The final item of business was the discussion of a blinking caution light by the high school on Highway 67.

Smithson said when the school was being built Rep. Percy Malone wrote a letter to the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department requesting a light.

The former commissioner, Ron Harrod, verbally agreed to one. However, Harrod is no longer the commissioner and the new one informed the district a traffic study would have to be made to see if the flow warranted a caution light.

Smithson said if necessary, the district can purchase a caution light and have it installed.
