Blevins has moved up to Class A from Class B. This year they will play in the 7A North Conference.

A few changes have been made in the 7AA Conference this year.

No longer are Gurdon, Stamps and Junction City in Prescott's conference, although the Prescott-Gurdon rivalry will continue. These three teams have moved to Class A.

Taking their places are the Fouke Panthers, Bismarck Lions and Fountain Lake Cobras.

Both Prescott teams appear to be top contenders in the conference, especially the Wolverettes. Coach Cecily Butler only lost two players from last year's team, which was defeated by Pulaski Academy in State Tournament.

The Nevada Blue Jays haven't changed conferences, but changes have been made in the 7A South Conference. For one thing it's just as tough as ever, but maybe even more so.

Fouke has moved up to Class AA, and Norphlet and Smackover have moved to other conferences.

In the place of these schools, though, have been added Stamps, Gurdon and Stephens.

Stamps and Gurdon have dropped in school census, but they are still top contenders in basketball and other sports. Stephens, a former member of the 7A South Conference, has come back after an absence of two years.
