Nevada County ARC Receives $50,000 GrantPublished Wednesday, July 28, 1999 in the Nevada County PicayunePrissy Traczewitz, executive director of Nevada County ARC is pleased to announce receipt of a $50,000 grant from the Horace C. Cabe Foundation. The grant will be used to help fund the costs associated with the renovation and expansion of Nevada County Recycling and Work Center. The foundation has its headquarters in Gurdon and currently has a geographic focus of Southwestern Arkansas, Texarkana and Little Rock. The foundation considers project initiatives, which have a defined time frame, are capital projects, or which deal with specific needs. "The board of directors is pleased to have been chosen as a grant recipient by the Cabe Foundation board," Traczewitz said in a news release. Newspaper articles have been contributed to the Prescott Community Freenet Association as a "current history" of our area. Articles dated December 1981 through May 2001 were contributed by Ragsdale Printing Company, Inc. Articles June 2001 to ? were contributed by Better Built Group, Inc. Articles ? to October 2008 were contributed by GateHouse Media. Ownership of all Nevada County Picayune content from the beginning of the newspaper, including predecessors, until May 2001 was contributed by the John and Betty Ragsdale family to the Prescott Community Freenet Association.
