Henry Hays Munn

Henry Hays Munn, 83, of Hope died Tuesday morning, October 15, 1996, at his home.

Born August 16, 1913, in Prescott, he was the son of Julia and Sam Munn, a veteran of World War II, a member of First United Methodist Church, Century Bible class, masons, Golden K Kiwanis Club and American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Cleo Munn of Hope; one daughter, Betty Whitley of Louisville, Ky.; and two grandsons.

Services were held Thursday, October 17, at Herndon Funeral Home chapel in Hope with Rev. Davis Thompson officiating. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of Herndon Funeral Home of Hope. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hempstead County Hospice program or First United Methodist Church.
