PHS To Change Format Due To April 1st FirePublished Wednesday, October 23, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneDue to the loss of the high school lobby in last year's fire, Prescott High School will conduct parent-teacher conferences in a different manner. Conferences will be held Thursday, October 24. They begin at 2:30 p.m. and conclude around 9:30 p.m. Parents are asked to enter the building at the west door from the parking lot as usual. A table will be set up just inside the door for parents to pick up report cards. From there, parents will walk about the building to visit with teachers. Teachers whose classrooms are in the main building will be in their rooms. Teachers whose classes meet in the other buildings, such as vocational teachers, will be set up in the media center (library) of the main building. The PHS staff invites and encourages all parents to attend their conferences. Several new teachers are on staff and this will be an excellent opportunity for parents and teachers to get acquainted.
