Chambliss Named Homecoming QueenPublished Wednesday, October 30, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneShannon Chambliss will reign as the 1996 homecoming queen for Prescott High School homecoming activities this week. Shannon will be crowned Friday, November 1, at the PHS football stadium at 7:00 p.m. prior to the football game between the Prescott Curley Wolves and the Fouke Panthers. Other members of the homecoming court are Freda Thomas, maid-at-large; Kelli Ashbrook and Commanita Harris, senior maids; Kim Chambliss and Jessie Ward, junior maids; and Lesley Grimes and Lindsey Powell, sophomore maids. Audrey Andrith will be the flower girl. The crown bearer is Gavan McCauley. Student announcers are Mike Loe, Matt Johnson and Sammy Lowdermilk. Senior Curley Wolf escorts are Channing Butler, Shane Pipkin, Rashad Johnson, Kyron Johnson, Johnny Bourdess, Jamie Williams, Terrell Burton, Brian Vanhook, Tracy Stafford, Steve Walker, Lamar Dixon, Sam Marlow, Ross Cowling, Rodney Hall, Cedric Fleming and Tobias Tidwell. The Prescott High School Student Council is sponsoring the homecoming parade Thursday afternoon at 5:00. The top three entries will be displayed at the game. Friday afternoon a pep rally will be held at 2:35 in the PHS gymnasium. The royalty and escorts will be introduced during the pep rally. The pre-game ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. at the PHS football stadium, preceding the Prescott-Fouke game. A reception will be held after the game.
