Sew Fine Club Meets

The 4-H Sew Much Fun! Club met on October 23.

Members present were Katherine Ferguson, Bonnie Ferguson, Stephanie Childress, Jessica Phillips, Camille Hart and Molly May.

New officers for the 1996-1997 year were elected. The results are as follows: Katherine Ferguson, president; Camille Hart, vice president; Bonnie Ferguson, secretary; Ashley Hostetler, treasurer; Heather Hostetler, reporter; Stephanie Childress, photographer; Jessica Phillips, song leader; and Molly May, recreation leader.

Dr. Barbara Holt of the Extension Service shared some exciting news with the club. The Arkadelphia Kiwanis Club has decided to donate a $250 check to the Sew Much Fun! club. Camille's mother, Gloria Hart, attended the Kiwanis Club meeting with Dr. Holt on October 18 when the announcement was made. The Club has also been given a Monarch portable sewing machine by Anna Hicks of the Arkadelphia Business and Professional Women's Club.

The next scheduled meeting for the Sew Much Fun! Club is October 30 at 3:30 p.m.

Anyone interested in joining a 4-H club should contact the local county Extension office at 246-2281. 4-H is the youth development program of the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.
