MCKENZIE HONOREDPublished Wednesday, November 6, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneFormer State Sen. Olen Hendrix gave a U.S. and Arkansas flag to the Nevada County Courthouse in memory of his friend, the late Horace H. McKenzie. In ceremonies held Oct. 31, a color guard from Co. A of the Arkansas Army National Guard presented the colors, placing them on either side of the judge's bench. The gift was accepted by Nevada County Judge John W. Barham, while 8th Judicial District Circuit Judge Jim Gunter presided over the ceremonies. Jim McKenzie, right, is shown with Hendrix following the presentation.
