James Thomas Wells

James Thomas `Jim' Wells, 71, of Okolona died Friday, November 8, 1996, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.

He was born February 8, 1925, in Seymore, Texas, the son of the late Bedford and Edna Reed Wells. He was a retired farmer, an avid fisherman, an army veteran of World War II and a member of Southfork Baptist Church. He was preceeded in death by one brother, Bob Wells.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel Wilson Wells; two brothers, Carl `Buddy' Wells of Gurdon; three sisters, Sammy Louise Presson of Prescott, Betty Frances Ledbetter of Gurdon and Nancy Jo Rutherford of Arkadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services and burial were Monday, November 11, at the Southfork Cemetery with Rev. Loy Garner officiating. Memorials may be made to Southfork Cemetery Fund or the charity of your choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
