Tommie H. BaberPublished Wednesday, November 20, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesTommie H. Baber, age 85 of Okolona died Wednesday, November 13, 1996 at the Riverwood Nursing Home in Arkadelphia. He was born June 19, 1911 in Okolona the son of the late Guy and Bessie Shackelford Baber. He was a retired employee of Arkansas Power & Light and a member of the Center Grove United Methodist Church. He and his wife Frances celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary November 23, 1995. Survivors include his wife, Frances Cagle Baber; two daughters, Tommie Lou McCauley of Okolona and Mary Frances Faulkner of Rogers; three sisters, Mrs. Willard Hewitt and Mrs. Eula Schnebly both of Arkadelphia and Mrs. Irma Willis of Leon, Iowa; four grandchildren, Mark McCauley of Waco, Texas, Marilyn McCauley of Arkadelphia, Melinda Cade and Susan Faulkner both of Rogers; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Emily and Hannah Cade. Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 15, 1996 at the Center Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. David Moore and Rev. Keith Dodson officiating. Interment in the Center Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Center Grove United Methodist Church.
