The West Central Arkansas Planning and Development District, Inc. publicly introduced its home page on the World Wide Web at it recent Board of Directors Meeting held in Russellville, Arkansas on October 17, 1996. In association with the Arkansas Institute of Economic Advancement, the page was created to provide member cities and countries with a presence on the World Wide Web. The District is the regional economic development organization that provides economic development services in a ten county region including: Clark, Conway, Garland, Hot Springs, Johnson, Montgomery, Perry, Pike, Pope, and Yell counties.

The District provides services for grant application and administration to local governments, provides financial assistance to small businesses through two government loan programs, is an affiliate agency of the Arkansas State Data Center, and is the administrative agency for the Southwest Central Region.

The District encourages interested individuals to visit them on the Internet for more information about the services that the District offers. The address is http://www.aiea.ualr,edu/dina/wcapdd.
