Application Sought From Seniors

The Arkansas Alumni Association is now accepting applications from high school seniors for merit scholarships to the University of Arkansas for the 1997-98 academic year.

A qualified student who completes and submits the scholarship application will be considered for:

  • Arkansas Alumni Scholarship with two scholarships awarded per academic year. It is renewable.

  • Arkansas Scholarships, which is funded by the Razorback Collegiate License Plates. Forty-eight $1,000 scholarships were awarded for the 1996-97 academic year.

  • Arkansas Alumni Chapter Scholarships, funded by participating Alumni chapters, is available to students living in or near a chapter.

Competitive selections are based on academic achievement and potential, involvement in school and community activities and demonstrated leadership. The Alumni Association seeks to attract outstanding, well-rounded student leaders to the University of Arkansas.

Minimum requirements are a high school grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, an ACT composite score of 24 or higher, and a successful admission to the UA for the 1997-98 academic year.
