By the end of three, Bradley led 32-30 as the Jays fought back, but had nothing left for the final stanza as they only scored five points. Casey Curtis paced the Jays with 10 points, as the only member of the squad to reach double figures. Cawaski Stewart led all scorers with 15 in the game. The Bears spend more time at the charity stripe, where they were five of 15. SENIOR GIRLS The Lady Jays played a closer game, but the end result was the Lady Bruins posted a 39-37 win. The Lady Jays led for three quarters of the contest before faltering in the final eight minutes. Nevada was up 8-2 after one and 18-17 at the half. By the end of three, the Lady Jays led 30-23. Ramona Evans led the way for Nevada with 10 points. LaSonja Harris was the game's top scorer with 15, while Temeka Caldwell netted 10 for Bradley as well. The Lady Jays were five of six at the line, while Bradley hit four of 11. JUNIOR BOYS The Nevada junior boys were the lone home team to post a win, beating the Cubs 46-35. The Jays opened with an 8-5 lead at the end of one and held a 22-10 advantage at the half. At the end of the third period, the Jays lead had been narrowed to 32-17 before the Cubs outscored Nevada 18-14 in the final quarter. Jamarrio Beasley netted an even dozen points for the Jays, followed by eight from Kevin Ingram, Geofrey Box and Jerrun Lewis. Greg Davis dominated scoring with 24 for Bradley. The Jays were 0-2 at the line, while Bradley fared little better, connecting on one of four. Nevada's junior and senior boys, along with the senior girls, will host Genoa Central Friday, Nov. 22. Tipoff for the junior boys game is 5:30 p.m. The Jays will follow this by hosting Prescott's junior and senior girls, and senior boys, Monday, Nov. 25.
