Jakie McKinnonPublished Wednesday, November 20, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneJakie McKinnon, 45, of Prescott was killed near his deer camp on Saturday, November 9, 1996. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, and a neighborhood volunteer for the American Cancer Society. He was an employee of Union Pacific Railroad and a membr of Brotherhood Maintainance Way Lodge 1127. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey McKinnon, who died in 1959, and Clyda Brown McKinnon, who died in 1994. Survivors include two daughters, Mandy Harris of Prescott and Holly McKinnon of Emmet; one son, Cody McKinnon of Walls, Miss.; three sisters, Mary Cottingham, Judy Martin and Joan Barton, all of Prescott; two brothers, Thomas McKinnon and Ralph McKinnon, both of Prescott; a special firend, Kandy Palmer of Amity; and two grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, November 14, at Central Baptist Church in Prescott. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Prescott under the direction of Shackelford Funeral Home of Prescott.
