Its hot and getting dry at our house.

Roy Brown is still in intensive care at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, but definitely better.

Linda and Lyle Brooks, Craig and Aaron of Macon, Ga., spent several days with her parents, Mary and Everett Orren. They also visited Linda's grandmother, Chloe Orren. Freddie Garner visited Chloe Sunday.

We extend our sympathy to the family of Agnes (Elmore) Heddin of Benton. Agnes died July 19 in Saline Memorial Hospital. She was buried at Grapevine July 22. Agnes was raised in our community and has several cousins around Prescott.

Barbara Brown had knee surgery at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana Friday as an out patient. She is home doing well.

Bennie and Delight Blount and children had dinner with Mae Blount Sunday. Granddaughter Elizabeth is spending a few days with her Grandmother Mae.

Billy and Reba House's daughter, Karen House, of West Monroe, La., and Pat and Drew Loe spent the week at Navarre Beach, Fla. They had a lot of fun.

Lonnie Leon Moore of Michigan arrived Sunday to spend a few day with her parents, Lenord and Faye House, and his mother, Mrs. Moore, who is very ill. Sammy and Kay House, Lauren and Jason of Little Rock had dinner with Lenord and Faye Sunday.

Robin and Elizabeth Ridgell, Ashley, Andrew and Alex visited Herbie Ridgell Sunday afternoon.

Elsie Elmore is having trouble with an infection in her leg. Remember those living alone.

Annie Mae Hooks spent several days last week with her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Billy Blankenship, of Ashdown. Diane and Annie Mae attended a flea market at McKinney, Texas.
