Auction To Be Held Dec. 12, 13

Prescott Lions Club will hold its 23rd annual auction Thursday and Friday, December 12 and 13.

The auction will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. or until everything is auctioned.

Money from the auction is used by the Lions Club to buy Christmas baskets and toys for needy people.

The proceeds also help to sponsor Little League baseball, buy glasses for children and older people who cannot afford them, help support World Services for the Blind, people whose homes have burned, the Nevada County Rescue Unit and many other agencies that help the less fortunate in this area.

Between now and December 7 members from the Lions Club will be asking merchants and individuals to donate for the auction. If you are missed and wish to donate, call 887-2501 or 887-6859. You will be contacted or your donation will be picked up by one of the members.

The Prescott Lions Club expressed its appreciation to all the businesses and individuals who have made the auction possible for the last 23 years. Without the help and support of local people the club could not have helped the needy and less fortunate people in Prescott and Nevada County that they have, they said.
