Published Wednesday, November 27, 1996 in the Nevada County Picayune

Principal Natalie Sherwood went with the elementary school improvemnt team to the Arkansas Leadership Academy. It was a successful experience, they report. The faculty learned consensus and team building.

Nevada had a successful pee wee basketball season. Parents and community people pitched in to staff the games and concession stand.

Harvest Festival was well attended. The PTO officers and parents worked very hard. All elementary teachers had booths.

The `Blue Jay Bucks' store was enjoyed by the children. The children earned points by receiving honors.

The play, Rumpelstiltskin, from the Arkansas Art Center, was enjoyed by the students on November 21. The play was provided by the Tri-Service League, Lindy Franks and the Nevada PTO.

Nevada Elementary Counselor Kay King has a new program, the Study Club. Children are working on bringing up their grades.
