Worksop PlannedPublished Wednesday, November 27, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesA four-day workshop is planned next week for single parents and displaced homemakers. The workshop is planned to help improve the opportunities of employment of those who are interested. The single parent-displaced homemaker will also learn how to control stress, set career goals and prepare for vocational training. The workshop will begin Monday, December 2, and go through Thursday, November 5. It will be held from 9:00 to 2:00 each day. The workshop will be held at the Nevada County Housing Authority at 401 Hale in Prescott. It is provided as a community service by Southwest Arkansas Development Council and is aimed at single parents and displaced homemakers who need to improve their employability skills and continue or further their education.
