No Fatalities In Post-Thanksgiving Day WreckPublished Wednesday, December 4, 1996 in the Gurdon TimesThe day after Thanksgiving gave two men plenty to be thankful for as a 1994 Ford pickup, driven by Lyndel Clark, 25, of Elaine, crossed the center line at the junction of Highways 53 and 51, into the path of a 1993 Kenworth, driven by Hurley Hargis, 35, of Hermitage. While the pickup sustained heavy damage, neither man was seriously hurt in the wreck. Clark was charged with driving left of center by Arkansas State Trooper Wayne Lanehart.
