Military NewsPublished Wednesday, December 4, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneMarine Pfc. Jonathan S. Pruitt, son of Dennis C. Pruitt of Prescott, recently completed the basic engineer equipment operator course. During the course at Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base, Camp Lejeune, N.C., students received instruction on engineer equipment operation, maintenance management, engineer organization, decontamination of heavy equipment, night operations, equipment recovery, special tools and camouflage. He is a 1996 graduate of Prescott High School. Specialist Bobby T. Fulks of Prescott, a member of Co A (-) 1-153rd Infantry at Prescott, Arkansas Army National Guard has been awarded the Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (third award). He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby J. Fulks of Prescott. He began his military career in November 1985 and has received the following awards: Army Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, National Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon and the Arkansas Service Ribbon. PV2 Ricardo D. Young of Rosston, a member of Company A (-) 1-153d Infantry at Prescott, Arkansas Army National Guard, has been promoted to the rank of Private First Class. He is a graduate of Nevada High School. PFC Young entered the military on December 29, 1995, and has received the Army Service Ribbon.
