Oliver Wins At NSBA Futurity

Dean Oliver of Prescott (atop his horse, Dean's New Lexus) is shown with his trainer, Cory Everhart (center) and his dad, Bill Oliver, after winning the National Snaffle Bit Youth Western Pleasure Futurity during the Lone Star Quarter Horse Association and Greater Houston Quarter Horse Associaton combined horse show futurities held in Lufkin, Texas. He was awarded a handmade trophy belt buckle, an NSBA trophy plaque and cash prizes by the four judges approved by the National Snaffle Bit Association in Indianapolis, Ind. He also won the 14- to 18-year-old youth western pleasure class on Sunday during the Mid-South Quarter Horse Futurity held in Memphis, Tenn. Dean was the high point youth western pleasrue rider for 1996 in the Arkansas Quarter Horse Association showing Dean's New Lexus. The awards banquet will be held at the Riverfront Hilton in Little Rock.
