NCSO Investigates Sunday Theft Of MotorcycleBY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, July 28, 1999 in the Nevada County Picayune A 23-year-old Delight man is being held in the Nevada County Jail in connection with the theft of a motorcycle. According to Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell, the theft occurred Saturday, July 24,when a motorcycle was stolen from a home in the northeast part of the county. James David Humphrey allegedly took the motorcycle to Pike County, where he was involved in an accident with it. The Pike County Sheriff's Office was notified of the theft and possibility of who the suspect was. PCSO deputies found Humphrey and the motorcycle, which was totaled in the accident. Humphrey was returned to the Nevada County jail and was charged with theft over $2,500. The motorcycle, Otwell said, was owned by Brett Wicker.
