Archie B. BentonPublished Wednesday, December 11, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneArchie B. Benton, 71, of Chidester died Thursday, December 5, 1996, in Camden. Born August 31, 1925, in Chidester, he was self-employed in construction. He was the widower of Naomi Adams Benton and a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Larry Steven Benton of Nash, Texas; a daughter, Nona Ezell of Chidester; three brothers, William `Pete' Benton, Edward Benton and Paul Benton, all of Camden; three sisters, Margaret Benton of Reader, Emily Thomason of Little Rock and Lenora Shirey of Eunice, La.; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services were held Saturday, December 7, at the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Eugene Burroughs officiating.
