Rodgers Attends AssemblyPublished Wednesday, December 11, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneState representative-elect Sandra D. Rodgers of Hope recently participated in a four and one-half day program to prepare new legislators for the 81st Arkansas General Assembly, which convenes on January 13. Representative-elect Rodgers joined 19 other newly elected members of the House of Representatives at the 31st biennial Arkansas Institute of Legislative Procedure, which is sponsored by the House of Representatives, the Bureau of Legislative Research and the Divsiion of Legislative audit. House speaker Bobby L. Hogue of Jonesboro presided over the Institute, held December 2-6 at the state Capitol in Little Rock. Participants reviewed legislative processes and procedures, met with members of the governor's cabinet and heads of state departments and agencies, and received in-depth reports on the operation of the General Assembly and of state government.
