Quiz Bowl To CompetePublished Wednesday, December 11, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneThe Nevada Public Schools Quiz Bowl team competed at Ashdown on December 3, 4 and 5. The senior high team won two games. Members of the senior high team were captain, Billy "Izzy' Dillard, Eric Murphy, Chris LaRue, Shannon Hicks and Jessica Carey. The scores were Nevada 225 -- Spring Hill 35 and Nevada 135 -- Camden 110. The Nevada Elementary Quiz Bowl team won three games. Members of Nevada A team were captain Jessica Almand, Alie Biddle, Christi Lambert, Erica Gibson, Brittany Daniel and Mark Wright. They won competiton with Blevins (320-120). The Nevada B team members were captain, Elijah Carlew, Kristi Taylor, Coy Tucker, Katrina Burson, Zach Niemeyer, Sara Biddle and Amanda Dorsey. They won competition with Camden Whiteside (200-120) and they also won competition with Genoa (180-140). The elementary students were complimented on their excellent behavoir.
