Published Wednesday, December 18, 1996 in the Gurdon Times

The South Clark County Jaycees are sponsoring a Christmas Eve hayride.

The purpose of the hayride is to allow the youth of the community to observe and enjoy the beauty of all of the Christmas lights through out Gurdon.

There will be responsible adults to chaperone the hayride. Permission slips will be issued in advance. Each child must have a signed permission slip in order to ride. Permission slips will be available at each school, the banks, Bill's Dollar Store and other local businesses.

The cost will be $1 per person.

If you plan to attend or for your child to attend contact Kenneth or Karen Harper at 353-4025 by Sunday, December 22.

Everyone going will meet at 6:00 p.m. December 24 at Gurdon City Hall. If it rains the hayride will be rescheduled. Dress your child according to the weather.

All proceeds will go towards assisting families in need and other community projects.
