Herbert A. RidgellPublished Wednesday, December 25, 1996 in the Nevada County PicayuneHerbert A. Ridgell, 74, of Prescott died Tuesday, December 17, 1996, at his home in Prescott. Born May 3, 1922, in Nevada Countty, he was the son of the late Herbert M. and Tennessee M. House Ridgell, a metal worker for Reynolds Metal Company and member of Boughton Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Doris Marie Ridgell of Prescott; two sons, Herbert Dwayne Ridgell and Paul Ridgell, both of Prescott; two daughters, Charolette Kay Wren of Prescott and Baletta Crabtree of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Joe Ridgell of Cumby, Texas; three sisters, Evelyn Hooks, Elsie Elmore and Katie Pittman, all of Prescott; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Services were held Thursday, December 19, at Shackelford Funeral Home in Prescott with Rev. Neal Ridling and Rev. Junior Thrasher officiating.
