McKenzie Appointed Advisor

Jim McKenzie of Prescott has been appointed as a regional advisor for Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH).

As a member of the Regional Advisory Council, McKenzie will help promote ACH, its mission and programs and assist in local fund-raising efforts for Arkansas Children's Hospital.

"We are honored to have such an outstandng group of individuals throughout the state assisting Arkansas Children's Hospital and its mission of caring for the children of this state and region" Larry Woodard, Arkansas Children's Hospital Foundation president, said.

Established in 1910, Arkansas Children's Hospital is the only pediatric hospital in the state and among the ten largest children's hospitals in the country.

Last year, more than 213,344 infants, children, teenagers and young adults were treated at the hospital from all 75 Arkansas counties and from around the nation and the world.

Affiliated with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, ACH is the site where pediatric medical residents receive their training under the guidance of the state's top physicians, who have training in all pediatric subspecialties.

The hospital has inpatient specialty units, including baby, infant, toddler, cardiovascular intensive care, newborn intensive care, progressive rehabilitation, adolescent and child behavior and burn center.
