Public Meeting Set For PES On Aug. 17

Prescott Elementary School will hold its annual public meeting and open house Tuesday, August 17.

Orientation for kindergarten and first grade parents will be at 5:30 p.m. and orientation for second through fourth grade parents will be at 7 p.m. in the Prescott Elementary School cafetorium.

Principal Howard G. Austin will welcome parents and introduce the staff. A general overview of the total elementary school program will be presented to the parents and as well as the annual improvement plans.

Parents will be made aware of many important rules and policies for this year. Other important areas which will present overviews are PTP (Parents and Teachers as Partners), transportation, special education, library, counselor, parent coordinator, and the Title 1 program.
