Events That Matter To Gurdon And Southern Clark County

Trash pick-up will be Thursday, January 2, instead of the normal Tuesday. Next week the pick-up will resume its normal day.

Anyone who wishes to nominate a former player or coach to be inducted in the Go-Devil Hall of Fame may do so by submitting their name or names to: Hall of Fame Committee, 314 School St., Gurdon, AR 71743. Deadline for submitting nominations for the 1996-97 school year is January 17.

Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) will be at Gurdon Municipal Building in conference room A in Janaury. On January 2, ARS will be in town from 8:30 a.m. until 4:3) p.m., and on January 30 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. New Applicants are welcome. For more information call 353-3514.

Alcoholics Anonymous has open meetings on Wednesdays and Sundays at 8 p.m. at the American Legion Building, Highway 67 North, one mile out of Gurdon. For information phone 353-6138.

Narcotics Anonymous meets every Monday and Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Seventh and Crittenden in Arkadelphia. For more information call 353-6612 or 245-2982.

Members of Center Point Baptist Church will sing out the old year and the new one in December 31 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
