Harmon Hughes

Harmon Beecher Hughes, 96, of Okolona died Wednesday, December 25, 1996, at Medical Park Hospital in Hope.

Born August 24, 1900, in Okolona, he was the son of the late Henry Beecher and Mollie Dickey Hughes. He was a retired farmer and a member of Okolona First Christian Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Myrna Rose Mauldin and Ruthe Erin Harris.

Survivors include his sister, Mary Edith Hughes of Prescott, and three nephews, Dorwin Harris of Oran, Mo., Richard Mauldin of Nashville, and Harvey Mauldin of Decature, Texas.

Services were held Friday, December 27, at Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home Chapel in Arkadelphia with Rev. Temon Jenkins officiating. Burial was in Rome Cemetery under the direction of Murry-Ruggles Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Dorwin Harris, Richard Mauldin, Harvey Mauldin, Lankford Moore, Johnny Rutherford, Millard McCauley and Johnny McGuirt.
