HSU Computer Literacy Series To Be Offered At Pinnacle Computers

The Office of Continuing Education Lifelong Learning at Henderson State University (HSU) will sponsor a 'Computer Literacy Series' of classes at Pinnacle Computer Consulting in Arkadelphia.

Continuing education credits (CEU's) will be recorded by HSU. sessions will be held at 635 Main Street in Arkadelphia.

The first series, Introduction to Windows '95 in three classes, were held in July. The classes covered looking at the Internet, exploring the World Wide Web, using Internet Explorer, accessing newsgroups, using e-mail, understanding security issues and exploring other Internet features. The series will repeat August 10, 11 and 12 and again on August 24, 25 and 26. Classes will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The second series, Introduction to the Internet, with three classes on August 3,4 and 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. will cover using the taskbar, managing files, using the help feature, working with applications, exchanging information between applications, finishing the project and common tools and shortcuts. The series will repeat August 17,18 and 19.
