Happy new Year to everyone! I'm still resting up from the holidays and don't have anything for a column, but I am including our January calendar. It doesn't look as if much is going on this month, but just wait!

PHS Calendar of Events

For January, 1997

January 10: deadline for February ACT registration.

January 14: junior varsity girls, senior girls, senior boys basketball with Lakeside, at home at 5:00 p.m.

January 15: report cards are issued (first term).

January 16: seventh grade boys, junior girls, junior boys basketball teams playing Blevins at home at 5:30 p.m.

January 17: junior girls, junior boys, senior girls, senior boys playing Nashville at home at 4:30 p.m.

January 18: seventh grade boys, eighth grade boys play at 9:00 at Arkadelphia.

January 20: no school, Martin Luther King holiday.

January 21: junior boys, senior girls, senior boys play Fouke at home at 5:30 p.m.

January 22: seventh grade girls and boys, eighth grade girls play Nashville at home at 4:30 p.m.

January 30: football banquet at elementary cafeteria at 6:00 p.m.
