Lydia Sims Osborn

Lydia Sims Osborn, 93, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Hope, died Friday, July 30, 1999, in Houston, Texas.

Mrs. Osborn was born September 9, 1905, in Okolona to James Milton and Henrietta Guffin Sims. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Hope. Mrs. Osborn was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde K. Osborn, who died in May of 1997, and by one brother, Odis Sims, and three sisters, Ollie Martin, Cleo Evans and Eura Townsend.

Survivors include one son, James M. Osborn of Emmet; two daughters, Frances O. Hazzard of Houston, Texas, and Martha O. Pyle of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Hazel Urrey of Hope and Irlene Richards of Denton, Texas; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were Monday, August 2, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Earl Cumbie officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope under the direction of Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home of Hope.
