Charles R. Salisbury

Charles R. Salisbury, 72, went home to be with Jesus on July 29, 1999, after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Salisbury was born on April 25, 1927, to L.E. and Virgie Hartsfield Salisbury. He was a retired cattleman, farmer, electrician and trucker. Mr. Salisbury was a member of the Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Donna Lynne Salisbury.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Donita Nivens Salisbury; their children, Michael and Kathy Salisbury of Blevins, Sharon Williams and David and Tammy Salisbury of Hope and Chris Salisbury of the home; four grandsons, Kiley Williams of Conway, Geoff Salisbury of Blevins, Charley Williams and Chris Townsend of Hope; two granddaughters, Dawn and Josh Butler of Greenfield, Ind.; and one very special granddaughter, Emmy Lynne Salisbury of Hope, and one great granddaughter, Kaylee Montana Butler of Greenfield, Ind.

Funeral services were Saturday, July 31, at Herndon Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Burial followed in the Sweet Home Cemetery with Bros. Frank Burke, Kenneth Grant and Leslie Salisbury officiating.
