Two Earn Scholarships To UACCHPublished Wednesday, January 15, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesThe University of Arkansas Community College at Hope (UACCH) has announced that Wendy Warren and Markita Houston, both seniors at Gurdon High School, have been awarded academic scholarships at UACCH. The scholarships are based upon an ACT and/or grade point average plus a recommendation from a school official. Wendy is the daughter of David and Patricia Warren of Gurdon. She will be pursuing a career in nursing. Markita Houston is the daughter of Mary Ann Albert of Gurdon. She will also be pursuing a career in nursing.
