Events That Matter To Gurdon And Southern Clark CountyPublished Wednesday, January 15, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesThere will be a gospel music concert at First Church of God on Highway 67 South in Gurdon Saturday, January 18, at 7:00 p.m. Royal Descendents will be featured. The Humane Society of Clark County will sponsor dog obedience classes again this winter. Classes will begin on January 20 and will run nine Monday nights. For more information call 246-9174 or 245-2579. The Arkansas School for Mathematics and Sciences (ASMS) in Hot Springs will be holding regional recruiting meeting for students January 19. Parents interested in learning more about ASMS need to be at Arkadelphia High School from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. on that date. The meeting will be held in the auditorium. The school is located just off Highway 8 West. Anyone who wishes to nominate a former player or coach to be inducted in the Go-Devil Hall of Fame may do so by submitting their name or names to: Hall of Fame Committee, 314 School St., Gurdon, AR 71743. Deadline for submitting nominations for the 1996-97 school year is this Friday. Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) will be at Gurdon Municipal Building in conference room A on Janaury 30 from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. New Applicants are welcome. For more information call 353-3514.
