J.W. BarhamPublished Wednesday, January 15, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneJ.W. Barham, 89, of Prescott died Saturday, January 11, 1997, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Prescott. Born October 20, 1907, in Prescott, he was a retired farmer and a 1930 graduate of University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a BS degree in geology. Survivors include one son, Tom B. Barham of Knoxville, Tenn.; one daughter, Carolyn Purtle of Hope; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday, January 14, at Brazzel-Cornish Chapel with Rev. Betty Stinson officiating. Burial was in Liberty Cemetery near Prescott under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott.
