In their second game of the week, the Nevada BlueJays were able to take two of three games from Lewisville.

There was no contest for the senior boys, and no mercy shown by them, as Nevada froze the Red Devils 71-26.

The Devils had absolutely nothing to offer in the way of stopping the determined Nevada crew during the contest.

Nevada opened with a 20-6 lead, pushing this to 32-15 at the intermission. The exorcism continued in the second half as the Jays flew to a 56-19 advantage after the third period buzzer sounded.

Joseph Young led Nevada's scoring attack with 17 points on the night. Julius Gulley also had a hot hand with the pumpkin as he netted 15.

Lee led Lewisville with seven. Anderson, Hamilton and Walker all scored six.

The Jays also shot well from the charity stripe as they converted 15 of 24, while the Devils were only able to net five of 14 at the line.

The Lady Jays were the only Nevada team to fall victim to the Red Devil brigade, as they went down 44-41 after leading most of the game.

The Lady Jays opened well, taking a 12-11 lead, and were able to stretch this advantage to 28-18 at the half. At the end of three, the Lady Jays were holding their own at 30-25, before losing the final period 19-11.

Ramona Evans led the way for Nevada with 14 points, and was the only member of the team in double figures.

Davis powered the Lady Devils with 16, while the tandem of Dismuke and Jones added 10 apiece.

The Lady Jays did fairly well at the charity stripe as they netted 11 of 20 shots. The Lady Devils, though did a bit better in converting 14 of 23 from the line.

The night opened with the Nevada junior boys routing the junior Devils 47-17.

The Jays got the game started with a solid shot to the Lewisville solar plexus as they led 11-7 at the end of one. The Devils were on the ropes by halftime, as the Jays had connected with several blows to the head and led 30-13.

The knockout punch came, for all intents and purposes, in the third round when the Jay defense kept Lewisville at bay, while recording 10 to make the score 40-13. The fourth period was simply academic for a final score.

Nevada's Jason Yarbrough delivered 13 blows to the Devils in the game, while Justin Curtis dealt seven shots as well.

The Devils were led by Davis, who had five points.

The Jays were five of 13 from the free throw line, while Lewisville was four of nine.
