Two Rivers Festival SetPublished Wednesday, February 12, 1997 in the Gurdon TimesWhether your taste in music tends toward jazz, bluegrass, rock and roll, gospel, etc. you'll probably find some of it at the annual Festival of Two Rivers in Arkadelphia, April 11 and 12, 1997. This festival has been "celebrating the good life in Arkadelphia" for over 20 years. The festival, besides the music, will include a 5k run put on by the Club Arkadelphia Runners, as well as the Andy Allison Children's Run, the largest children's fun run in the state. The events are sponsored by Elk Horn Bank. Once again, Citizens First Bank will be sponsoring their annual "Car Show and Shine". The annual Caddo River Canoe Race is also a popular event as is the softball tournament at Feaster Park. An arts and crafts show is held in the middle of Main Street with crafters being asked to contact the Arkadelphia Area Chamber of Commerce to submit their applications. Anyone interested in any of the events should contact the Arkadelphia Chamber of Commerce at 1-800-874-4289 or 246-5542. Search | Nevada County Picayune by date | Gurdon Times by date |
