Bids For Rural Water Project Are Approved (cont)BY JOHN MILLERPublished Wednesday, February 12, 1997 in the Gurdon Times eting then turned to the Gurdon Fire Department. Smith said a grant application has been sent to the Ross Foundation for funds to aid in the creation of a rescue unit for South Clark County. The application is for a $10,000 grant, but it could be May before it is known if the grant is approved or not. The other item of business for the GFD was to hire two new firefighters, replacing two who recently retired. Brad Clark and Jason Brisby were named as the two new employees.
