Harris `Bud' RateliffPublished Wednesday, February 12, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneHarris A. `Bud' Rateliff, 71, of Hope, died Sunday, February 9, 1997, in John McClellan VA Hospital in Little Rock. Born March 9, 1925, in Patmos, he was the son of the late Thomas W. and Zura V. Saunders Rateliff. He was a retired machinist, an army veteran of World War II and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Rateliff of Hope; two sons, Tommy Rateliff of Lake Wills, Fla., and Anthony Rateliff of Hope; four daughters, Diane Beard and Lisa Baylor both of Memphis, Tenn., Wendy C. Cameron of Urbana and Rosemary Naomi Greer of Norphlet; two brothers, Thomas Ratecliff of Camden and Roy Rateliff of Little Rock; three sisters, Ida Smith of Camden, Janice Brown of Smackover and Altha Jones of Rosston; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Services are being held today, Wednesday, February 12, at 2:00 p.m. at Brazzel-Oakcrest Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Joe Dickey and Mike Harmon officiating.
