Ara Lewis AtchisonPublished Wednesday, February 12, 1997 in the Nevada County PicayuneAra Lewis Atchison, 93, of Hope died Saturday, February 8, 1997, in Medical Park Hospital. Born January 7, 1904, in Hempstead County, she was the daughter of Charles and Josie Tollett Lewis. She was a homemaker, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and First Baptist Church of Hope. Survivors include one stepdaughter, Janice Smith of Hope; one brother, Harold Lewis of Prescott; five grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Services were held Monday, February 10, in the Herndon Funeral Home chapel in Hope with Rev. Stan Parris officiating.
