Some people, it seems, simply refuse to learn.

A 44-year-old Prescott man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) with intent to deliver for the third time Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Officials with the Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Prescott Police Department and South Central Drug Task Force, paid a visit to the home of Charles Tolliver on Arnold Street around 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to Jim Westmoreland, criminal investigator with the NCSO and PPD.

A total of four people were arrested in the raid, including Tolliver, who was out on bond for two separate counts of possession of a controlled substance, namely cocaine, with intent to deliver.

The other three arrested were: Danny Henagan, 25, of Prescott; Rose Dickerson, 36, of Prescott; and Celia Epperson, age and address unknown. These three were picked up on outstanding warrants.

Tolliver's first appearance on this, his third, charge is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 26.

At the time of the raid, officers found a quantity of a substance believed to be cocaine along with an undetermined amount of money. The cash was found by the NCSO K-9 unit of Wayne Kisselburg and Narco.

Nevada County Sheriff Steve Otwell offered thanks to PPD Chief Willie Latin for the help he gave in the raid. He also praised the task force for its assistance.

"We warned people earlier in the year if they had a problem with drugs to get off and come to us before we come to them," Otwell said.

"Any information about drug dealing activity is welcome," he continued. "People wishing to come forward will have their names kept anonymous. The only way we can put a dent in this is to get help from the public."

FRITO BANDITOS

Two Prescott youths face a series of charges in connection with the break ins at the Frito Lay storage building on East First Street in town.

Westmoreland said the two are expected to be charged with three counts of commercial burglary and three counts of theft of property as the building was broken into on three different occasions, Jan. 25, Jan. 28 and Feb. 12.

In each instance, merchandise was taken from the business.

Westmoreland lauded officers Joey Beavers and Kristi Hillery for their effort in the investigation.

The information gathered will be turned over to the juvenile intake officials so charges can be filed.
